Lifesavas' DJ Rev. Shines and world renowned record collector follows up with the second volume in the Today's Good News mix series. Volume one was expertly mixed with the choicest breaks, beats and originals, and volume 2 is no different. Similar to volume one, Shines chooses to mostly stay with rare groove platters used in the past couple years by some of today's top producers (i.e. Dilla, Madlib, Premier, Kanye, etc.). He does take it back a little bit with some classics throw in for good measure (The Beatnuts inspired segment towards the end is off the hook!).

Unlike many originals mixtapes, Shines actually puts thought into his mixes to create a disc containing more than just dropping one beat after another. Today's Good News actually has flow and the transitions make sense. Volume one was a top seller here, and we're sure volume two will be too!
