When 7L & Esoteric’s hit underground EP Speaking Real Words originally dropped, it helped mold and define the East Coast indie/underground movement. Known to go for upwards of $200 on EBAY, the label decided to reissue this long out-of-print  CD, only this time include a couple banging bonus cuts from the precious era in which it was created. After Eminem and Jay-Z rhymed over the “Speaking Real Words” beat on Sway & Tech's World Famous “Wake Up Show”, the interest factor had risen astronomically. Featuring the blazing title track with Wu-Tang hero Inspectah Deck, and the infamous Transformers themed “Be Alert,” now complete with the never before heard bonus track “Observe the Sound” featuring Apathy, J-Live, and L The Headtoucha and the first version of “Def Rhymes”, available on CD for the first time.
