In 2002, celebrated photographer B+'s Mochilla released Keepintime. What started as a photo shoot with four of L.A.'s greatest session drummers (Roy Porter, Earl Palmer, Paul Humphrey and James Gadson) turned into 13 minute short film, then later a DVD and CD release.

The project also included some of L.A.'s finest turntablists (DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, J. Rocc, Babu and more) jammin' with the legendary drummers, for an in-studio performance, followed by live peformances. Following the success of Keepintime, a new plan was hatched- gather some of the world's finets turntablists and producers, and this time pair them up with percussionists and drummers from South America.

Thus, we have Brasilintime: Batucada Com Discos.

Featured this time are Paul Humphrey, James Gadson, Wilson Das Neves, Ivan "Mamao" Conti, Derf Reklaw, Joao Parahyba, Babu, J. Rocc, Cut Chemist, Madlib, Nuts, Nelson Triunfo and will.i.am.
