Kaman Leung

Swedish Chinese producer, Kaman Leung is known for his electronic hip hop EPs that became popular in the past years in the underground hip hop scene. With his debut album Lacrimal, Leung returns to more dubby and abstract soundscapes. But Leung adds enough new elements to the genre; from walls of mechanical noise to subtle melodic lines, soulful detroit synths, and funky basslines to keep this release deep and demanding your attention listen after listen.  After a trilogy series of EPs for his own Lacerated Recordings imprint out in the UK and instrumental hip hop anthems with Swedish producer Gravity a few years back, which was featured on DJ Krush’s Code 4109, Leung's new album may be an essential release in the recent abstract hip hop revival.
